The beginnings of Big Bang date back to 1991, while the brand was established 2 years later when the first store opened in Ljubljana. At present, Big Bang has 16 stores in Slovenia that have a surface area of approximately 30,000 square meters and the company’s website is one of the most visited e-commerce sites in Slovenia.

In 2018, Big Bang was acquired by Adventura Investments, which, together with the company’s new management, established a modern business model and development strategy. By modernizing pick-up points, digitalizing all operations, introducing video shopping and fast delivery in selected cities, Big Bang has become one of the most modern electronic goods retailers in the region.

An increasingly strategically important aspect of business and the driver of future growth is the company’s newly established marketplace, with 100+ companies already selling their products on www.bigbang.si that has over 100.000 items available to customers.

After finalizing the first phase of consolidation and with beginning of new strategic period, in September 2022 Big Bang acquired 100% equity stake in retail company Sancta Domenica. With this the company expanded its operations to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and began consolidating the industry in the region. Sancta Domenica has a leading position for laptops, gaming equipment, smartphones, TV, audio and video equipment in Croatia, has been present on the Bosnian market for several years and has 11 stores in Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek, Zadar and Sarajevo.

In 2023 Big Bang acquired 100% equity stake in fast-growing ecommerce company BC Group, specialized in sales on the Serbian market that will make a significant contribution to sales volume growth in the future.

The companies, comprising Big Bang Group, generated a total of EUR 280m+ revenue in 2023 and employed 640+ people in Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
