Renata Šterbenc

CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER

Renata Šterbenc has 20 years of extensive experience in the field of corporate, civil and trade law. She worked as a legal advisor in some of the most respected and largest legal offices in Slovenia and was a legal adviser to several management boards of Slovenian banks and companies.

She started her career at Jadek & Pensa, one of the largest law firms in Slovenia, and in 2006 accepted the challenge and became a Legal Advisor at Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank (now Addiko Bank).

With acquired knowledge and experience she moved on and took the position as an Advisor to Management board of KD Banka, the first Slovenian private bank. During the founding of the bank, she was a member of several project groups that established the bank’s business processes and products. She was also the bank's representative in the committee for legal issues at the Bank Association of Slovenia. Later she was promoted to a position of Procurator and managed the legal affairs in the merger of KD Banka into Factor banka, expertise she further developed during her time at Adventuri Investments. She continued her work at the merged bank where she was management board commissioner for legal affairs and in charge for organizing and supervising the work of the legal advisors of the bank. She also held the function of Compliance Officer, Deputy Proxy for the Prevention of Money laundering and was President of Shareholder Assembly.

In 2018 she joined Adventura Investments and took over the legal affairs of the company and the most difficult law cases of the company and its subsidiaries.  As a member of project teams, she participated in the negotiations, preparations, reviews and legal verifications of numerous acquisitions of Adventura Investments and its subsidiaries in Slovenia and abroad, including the acquisitions of Big Bang, Sancta Domenica, Imaging Systems, Alibus International, A2U, Anticus and Brioni Pula. She was, among other things, in charge of the legal aspect of the mergers of a total of more than ten independent tourism and transport companies into Nomago and she also managed the legal aspect of the merger of Marg and Imaging Systems into Margis. She is now active at this role at Advance Capital Partners. 

Renata Štrerbenc has also been a member of the advisory board of Nomago.
