Sašo Stanovnik

He started his career as Financial Analyst at the brokerage house Publikum. Through investment research and analysis, searching for investment opportunities, cooperation at investment banking projects, extensive knowledge of capital markets and macroeconomics he quickly became Head of Research at the company.

As head of one of the biggest research departments in Slovenia, he oversaw the sell-side research team, which most broadly and promptly covered Slovenian issuers’ shares. Consequently, he was in constant contact with a wide network of international institutional investors. For six years, he also prepared analysis of economic and political news for Slovenia for the USA based Eurasia Group.

He actively participated in the merger of three brokerage and two asset management companies into ALTA Group, where he became Head of Research and Chief Economist. There he continued with the coverage of the major Slovenian companies, as well as with communication with foreign institutional investors. As Chief Economist he was also head of the regular quarterly investment strategy project group and in charge of implementing and developing research processed in the field of fixed income and quantitative mathematics.

At ALTA and before at Publikum Sašo Stanovnik has also participated in several corporate finance projects, including bond issues, equity issues and M&A transactions.

In his time at Adventura Investments and before his re-employment at Advance Capital Partners, he played an important role in the development of the company. He is a member of the financial analysis and planning committee in Big Bang and Big Partner, to which the wholesale and distribution business was allocated.

For several years he also participated in the advisory boards of Big Bang, Big Partner, Sancta Domenica, Margis, Anticus and Nomago. He also participated with preparation of strategic documents for mentioned companies, as well as benchmarking.
